Shipping Receiving Manager

Job Description

Airxchange, a growing, well established South Shore manufacturer of sustainable energy efficient components to the HVAC industry, is presently seeking an energetic individual to join our team as a Shipping/Receiving Manager. Ideal candidates will have the following requirements.

Responsibilities:

Unloading and inspecting incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips

Identifying and reporting any damages or discrepancies

Sorting, labeling, and storing items in designated areas

Preparing and packing outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation

Scheduling and coordinating shipments with carriers

Maintaining records of shipments and inventory

Updating inventory records and maintaining accurate stock levels

Performing cycle counts and physical inventory checks

Alerting management of low or out-of-stock items

Directing the day-to-day activities of the material handling & crating personnel

Operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts)

Communicating with vendors and carriers

Maintaining a clean and organized work area

Adhering to safety procedures and guidelines

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

5-10 years’ experience working in a production or warehouse environment

3-5 years’ experience managing a team

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Etc)

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Organized and detail-oriented, adaptable to change

Hands on experience with basic hand and power tools

Must become Lift Truck Certified thru passing the Airxchange Lift Truck Certification program

Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and practices preferred, but not requiredCompany Description
