Job Description

A Moving Driver and Helper assists with the transportation and handling of goods during residential or commercial moves. They are responsible for loading and unloading moving trucks, packing and unpacking items, and ensuring that belongings are safely transported to their destination. This role requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities may include:

Loading and unloading trucks:

Assisting with the loading and unloading of boxes, furniture, and other items onto and off of moving trucks, ensuring proper placement and securing of items.

Packing and unpacking:

Wrapping furniture, packing boxes, and unpacking items at the new location, following established procedures and protecting items from damage.

Inventory and tracking:

Maintaining a record of items being moved and ensuring they are loaded and unloaded onto the correct truck.

Customer service:

Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a professional demeanor.

Safe and efficient moving:

Handling items carefully to prevent damage, following safety guidelines, and working efficiently as part of a team.

Communication:

Communicating effectively with the driver, moving crew, and customers to ensure a smooth and successful move.

Required skills and qualifications may include:

Physical ability: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.

Attention to detail: Careful handling of items, meticulous inventory keeping, and adherence to safety regulations.

Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other movers and drivers.

Basic driving skills: Familiarity with driving a box truck or other moving vehicle.

High school diploma or equivalent: A high school diploma or GED is often required.

Clean driving record: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record may be required.

Ability to lift heavy objects: The ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds or more may be required.Company Description

We are a Commercial and Residential moving and Delivery company founded in 2009. Commercial Moves and Residential moves make up the majority of the work we perform. We also offer services for warehousing, receiving, inspecting, assembly, and delivery of new furniture. We work for several interior decorators, designers, and furniture stores with this delivery program.
