CNC Machinist

Job Description

SISSCO Material Handling / Permadur Industries is hiring for the position of CNC Machinist. This position will be responsible for the programming and operation of our Haas VF-11/50 CNC Machine. The responsibilities will also include many other manual machining functions on our various milling and turning machines along with assistance in assembling our products.

Responsibilities:

Review and understanding of machining/fabrication drawings.

Set and adjust tool offsets and select and set up tooling and fixtures.

Understanding of all machine shop measuring tools including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, etc.

Ability to monitor the part run cycles and quality inspect when completed.

Understand cutting tools, material and tool speed feed rates, coolant requirements and other machining techniques.

Qualifications:

5+ years of machining experience in a custom lot manufacturing process

3+ years of CNC Machining experience preferred

Strong knowledge of tooling

Ability to interpret machining/fabrication drawings.

Strong ability in mechanical assembly

Ability to work in a Production Team Environment, work well with others in and outside of the department.

This position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of CNC machining processes and the ability to produce high-quality parts efficiently.Company Description
