Inventory Accountant

Job Purpose Maintain accurate equipment/parts/consumables records in our NetSuite program.

Responsibilities * Enters data related to inventory receipts, transfers and consumption in a timely manner on a daily basis.

* Perform costing, profitability, and other such analysis as required.

* Work with the Corporate Inventory Manager to evaluate and maintain the inventory accounting system in NetSuite.

* Assist corporate accounting as directed by Manufacturing Process Manager.

* Maintain and enhance the accuracy of the cost build-up of individual SKU's, and inventory as a whole.

* Occasionally present analytical results and/or findings to upper management.

* Coordinate and execute periodic cycle counts of inventory and the annual wall-to-wall physical inventory.

* Assist Manufacturing to verify the physical existence of fixed assets.

Skills * Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and their application within the company * Critically review the accounting records for accuracy and completeness prior to sharing information with company management.

* Microsoft Office and NetSuite software systems'; advanced Excel skills required.

* Ability to be self-motivated and work independently while maintaining the ability to be a team player Attributes * Computer proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing software, and sophisticated financial analysis software * Oral Comprehension & Expression - The ability to communicate, listen and understand information and direction through spoken words and sentences.

* Speech Clarity - The ability to speak clearly so others can understand.

* Reasoning - The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction and the ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

Experience & Education * 2-year University degree in accounting or comparable experience.

* Must be authorized to work in the United States.

* Experience with NetSuite preferred.

Physical Requirements * Physically submit to periodic drug, background and clearance screenings (employment is contingent upon favorable results). * Must be able to lift 35# and move boxes around in a wharehouse.
