Unit Information: • Medical Oncology with progressive care beds/pediatric patients.

• High acuity of PCU and small amount of med surg No set schedule, no set weekends, no block schedule.

• Facility determines the complete schedule, with the possibility of working every weekend.

Must be flexible.

• 14-week contract required if taking 7 days off.

Orthopedic Oncology • Thoracic Oncology Special Procedures/Unit Details: •18J is a 36 bed Oncology Telemetry unit with over 24 beds dedicated to PCU level of care.

-Pediatric patients are cared for on this unit but are extremely rare and would likely be cared for by perm staff.

Pediatric experience is NOT required to be agency RN here.

Required: High acuity PCU patient experience -Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls Special Equipment: • B450 monitors GE telemetry system.

• 2 years of oncology experience preferred, but NOT REQUIRED • Ratio: 1:4-5 Med Surg Telemetry • Ratio: 1:3 PCU • Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

• Previous travel experience preferred.

Feeding tube care and management • Central line care/management • Peripheral Line Care/Management • Phlebotomy • Monitoring Chemotherapy • Wound Care/Wound Vac • Flexible scheduling with self-schedule requests.

• Orientation and Training: • Monday to Friday dayshift orientation.

• Second week: 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor.

Note: Staffing ratios aim for 1:4-5 but may vary based on unit needs.

Weekend shifts are variable.

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
