Basic Function

The primary function of the Account Manager is to go out into the assigned territory and generate new business. The Account Manager will generate new business in the market areas targeted by the V.P. of Sales & Marketing.

Grow sales from current customer base.

Generate new customer business in the market areas defined by the V.P. of Sales & Marketing.

Achieve or exceed the sales, growth, and gross profits goals set by the V.P of Sales & Marketing.

Identify new products, services or markets that will help the company to maximize revenue year after year.

Conducting market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Account Manager consist of, but are not limited to:

Team with Customer Service team members to ensure customer's needs are met.

Develop relationships with the customer by visitation and calls.

Manage territory in conjunction with Seal Company strategy and initiatives.

Log established goal of customer visits per week (Minimum number will be established by VP of Sales & Marketing.)

Submit customer information and feedback into the CRM in a timely manner.

Cold call and visit potential new customers as part of the territory growth strategy.

Produce the targeted sales and profit goals of the Company within the guidelines of company policies.

Monitor and report to management all work that is in the pipeline. This includes pending estimates, potential sales and Engineering projects.

Work with sales, engineering and procurement to develop potential new markets for Seal Company products.

Attending appropriate customer events in the assigned territory.

Ensure continued satisfaction of established customers with company products and service.

Attend all applicable company meetings.

Keep informed on competitors' selling policies, tactics, services, and prices.

Attend trade shows, conventions, seminars, and other meetings to enhance his/her professional knowledge or to promote the Company. Attendance will be directed by the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Help to develop and implement effective and efficient sales and marketing programs with the concurrence of the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Keep updated on the events in the industry and marketplace to maximize competitive advantages.

Coordinate with the necessary personnel to settle customer complaints.

Ensure that all company interactions with customers are conducted in an ethical and prudent manner.

Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance appropriate for the position and situation in which the Account Manager may be involved.

All other duties and tasks will be directed from time to time by the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Operate within the principles of character core.

Educational requirements

Required High school diploma or equivalent and at least two-year experience in sales.

Preferred College degree in business, sales or marketing and at least three years' experience in sales, preferably in the manufacturing industry, or at least five years' experience in sales, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
