Overview:

A leading global manufacturer is seeking a highly skilled Molding Maintenance Technician for a full-time, third-shift direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for experienced professionals who thrive in fast-paced manufacturing environments, excel in solving complex mechanical challenges, and enjoy mentoring others.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently troubleshoot and repair injection molding equipment with minimal supervision

Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal machine reliability

Document work activities accurately in maintenance reporting systems

Collaborate with vendors and contractors on repairs, part sourcing, and installations

Identify continuous improvement opportunities to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency

Support engineering and production teams with special projects and technical upgrades

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians

Maintain workplace organization standards and participate actively in improvement initiatives

Develop and implement minor improvement projects across manufacturing operations

Utilize PLC programming and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in injection molding maintenance within a manufacturing environment

Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills

Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics

Solid understanding of injection molding principles and machine setup

Experience rebuilding hydraulic and electrical equipment preferred

Familiarity with PLC ladder logic and vision/scanner software is a plus

Effective problem-solving, organizational, and critical-thinking skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and meet physical demands typical of a manufacturing setting
