Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Machine Operators to join our team for 2nd and 3rd shifts. With a focus on expansion, we provide a comprehensive 4-6 weeks training on 1st shift. As a Machine Operator, you will be instrumental in processing large spools of steel wire through advanced machinery to meet customer specifications, including adding coatings or sealants. Our products serve a wide range of industries, from construction staples to fine wire brushes.
Responsibilities
Operate digital controlled respooling machinery and auxiliary equipment to produce quality products meeting customer expectations and production goals.
Load raw material, feed wire correctly through the machine, and remove finished products.
Change machinery from one product or package to another and perform quality welds using the appropriate butt welder.
Conduct preventative maintenance on production and support equipment as assigned.
Operate machinery efficiently and maintain accurate production and quality records.
Understand product quality, delivery, and scrap measurements.
Adhere to all safety procedures and policies, wearing assigned PPE.
Keep work areas clean and organized for subsequent operators.
Take and pass OSHA approved Forklift Training and maintain a valid license for daily tasks.
With guidance from management, adjust equipment for efficient operation.
Participate in training, employee meetings, committees, and project teams.
Troubleshoot problems using standard problem-solving methods.Essential Skills
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
Have at least two years of experience in an industrial facility with machine or production experience.
Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
Comfortable using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers with the metric measurement system.
Able to perform simple calculations in your head and use a calculator for complex mathematics.
Capable of pushing, pulling, rolling items, and lifting 70 pounds regularly.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Technical school education is a plus.
Machine operation, lockout/tagout, visual inspection experience.
Experience in machine setup and welding.

Work Environment
Our manufacturing environment is organized and clean, emphasizing safety. The facility includes roughly 12-15 employees on 1st shift and about 3-4 employees on 2nd shift. Safety-toed shoes and ear protection are required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $49920.00/yr.
