Job Title: CNC Machinist $30 -$34 an hour
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC mills. You will load programs from the server and make necessary tweaks, offsets, and macro adjustments to G&M code. You will also be responsible for reading blueprints, utilizing CAD and CAM programming (Siemens NX), and performing quality inspections on parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges. The role involves working with materials such as aluminum and machining steels, with tolerances as tight as .001, and sometimes down to .0005. The position primarily involves custom machining molds for the plastics and aerospace industries, with an average of 2-7 setups per day.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC mills
Load programs from the server and make necessary adjustments to G&M code
Read and interpret blueprints
Utilize CAD and CAM programming (Siemens NX)
Perform quality inspections on parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Maintain tolerances of .001, and occasionally down to .0005
Handle 2-7 setups per day
Work with materials such as aluminum and machining steels
Conduct custom machining of molds for the plastics and aerospace industriesEssential Skills
3-5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC mills
3-5 years of experience operating CNC systems using Fanuc or Siemens controls
Experience with Makino, Siemens NX, and CNC programming
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Proficient in CAD/CAM based design softwareAdditional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with various CNC machines, including 3 Axis and 5 Axis, Makino, Roders, and Mikron
Strong attention to detail for maintaining tight tolerances

Work Environment
This position is for the second shift, which runs from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday to Friday, with a 10% shift differential. You will be working in a clean and climate-controlled environment with modern machines and tooling. The second shift team comprises three members.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, Ohio.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $33.00/hr.
