Logistics Analyst

Job Description

Summary:

The Logistics Analyst 2 supports outbound logistics by coordinating the flow of materials and shipments in alignment with production schedules. This role includes reviewing dashboards, identifying shipment risks, and collaborating across teams to ensure timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Review WIP dashboards to monitor shipment progress

Identify failed or at-risk shipments and escalate for resolution

Track and trace critical ("HOT") shipments

Collaborate with Caterpillar teams (US and India) and external 3PLs

Review documents (e.g., production schedules, work orders) to determine materials and staffing needs

Maintain accurate inventory records and requisition supplies as needed

Monitor work processes for compliance with standards

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred)

2–4 years of relevant logistics or supply chain experience

Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, v-lookups, Left/Right functions)

Basic Salesforce experience

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Experience working with cross-functional teams

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with Mach1/SAP, TM/Blue Yonder, or CMOPS

Experience in end-to-end supply chain operations

Flexible, adaptable, and proactive mindset

Work Environment:

Onsite only starting June 2, 2025 (Hybrid schedule until then: Tue/Wed/Thu in office)

Collaborative environment with frequent cross-functional interaction

Disqualifiers:

Candidates with a Master’s degree (overqualified for this role)
