What Does an Oracle EPM Solution Architect Do?
Serve as the subject matter expert for Oracle EPBCS and FCCS modules, supporting financial planning, consolidation, and MIS reporting
Lead process improvement and system design initiatives in alignment with business objectives and Oracle capabilities
Manage end-to-end project execution from business requirement gathering to solution delivery and post-go-live support
Collaborate with finance and IT teams to align Oracle functionality with budgeting, reporting, and consolidation processes
Provide technical leadership, configuration expertise, and mentorship to the project team
Translate business goals into system requirements using strong financial domain knowledge
Work with cross-functional stakeholders and ensure project timelines and milestones are achieved
Support testing, change management, and user adoption activities across multiple departments
Create and maintain technical documentation, functional specifications, and process workflows
Monitor project performance and ensure quality assurance through effective governance
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
Lead design and delivery of Oracle EPM Cloud modules, particularly EPBCS and FCCS
Provide hands-on expertise in ASO/BSO cubes, FDMEE or Data Management, smart lists, rules writing, and Webforms
Develop and optimize financial reporting, forecast models, and consolidation logic
Handle monthly close activities, automation enhancements, and system reconciliation tasks
Lead technical troubleshooting, issue resolution, and integration activities
Coordinate with partners, internal teams, and Oracle support for escalated technical cases
Ensure all deliverables meet business goals, compliance, and project scope
What Skills Are Needed for an Oracle EPM Architect in Dubai?
Education:
Qualified CA, ACCA, or MBA in Finance
Oracle EPM certification is highly desirable
Experience:
10+ years of experience in Oracle EPM solution implementation, with a strong focus on EPBCS and FCCS
Minimum 5 end-to-end implementation projects completed in a lead or architect role
At least 3 support project experiences involving financial system management and troubleshooting
Experience in ports, logistics, or supply chain domain is a strong advantage
Technical Skills:
Expertise in Oracle EPM Cloud (EPBCS, FCCS, FDMEE/Data Management)
Strong understanding of financial consolidation, budgeting, and planning processes
Capable of writing business rules, optimizing cubes, and managing metadata
Familiarity with additional modules like PCMCS or TRCS is an added benefit
Proficiency in SmartView, FR Studio, and automation of data integration processes
Basic knowledge of legacy Oracle Hyperion Planning tools is a plus
