JOB DESCRIPTION
Role
Program Manager is a multifaceted role that involves overseeing projects, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of manufacturing programs. The Program Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing multiple aspects of customer projects after close of order to final delivery. Their role involves acting as a bridge between the customer and the manufacturing teams to ensure that the project meets quality, cost, and delivery requirements. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth execution of manufacturing programs, maintaining customer satisfaction, and driving business growth for the contract manufacturer.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer orders, resolving issues, and ensuring clear communication of post-sale matters. Responsible for all business unit activities, customer quality, responsiveness, delivery and accuracy of all orders. This individual should be heavily focused on process improvement. This position reports directly to the Business Unit Manager.
Activities
Develop project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
Coordinate with internal departments, including engineering, procurement, production, and quality assurance, to meet project goals.
Manage changes to project scope, schedule, or resources, ensuring minimal impact on overall objectives.
Work closely with engineering teams to ensure product designs meet manufacturability and cost-effectiveness goals
Liaise with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely sourcing of materials and components.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure adherence to manufacturing standards and customer specifications.
Identify potential risks to the project (e.g., supply chain disruptions, design issues, manufacturing challenges).
Monitor key performance metrics to effectively measure project status.
Work with customers to resolve conflicts or other product issues.
Oversee ECO (engineering change order) and change management process.
Track and report on project performance metrics such as on-time delivery, quality rates, and budget adherence.
Provide bi-weekly updates to both customers and internal stakeholders on project status.
Implement process enhancements to streamline future projects and improve customer satisfaction.
Implement & monitor quality efficiency and continuous improvement
Review all orders within the business unit for accuracy
Assure all purchase orders and internal orders are clear and accurate
Coordinate & report open orders and past due to completion on a weekly basis to management
Qualifications
A college degree is preferred but not mandatory.
Solid understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and supply chains.
Minimum of 5 years’ manufacturer experience with sales to OEM customers with a thorough knowledge of business’ best practices, procedures and processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated individual with a high level of professionalism, dependability and energy focusing heavily on problem solving.
Ability to assess and resolve situational problems in a timely manner. High focus on solutions to problems.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
PC skills in word, excel and power point needed.
