Job Description
The role involves assisting in the maintenance and assembly of trailers used by companies like FedEx, UPS, and Amazon. The general helper will support the main maintenance technician by performing tasks such as bending conduit, running wire, and using basic hand and power tools. Training will be provided for conduit bending and other necessary skills.
Responsibilities
Assist the main maintenance technician with maintenance and assembly tasks.
Bend conduit using tools such as a crow bar and pipe bender.
Run wire and help with electrical wiring tasks.
Use basic hand tools and power tools, including an impact drill and small handheld saw.Essential Skills
Experience with wiring and conduit bending.
Proficiency with basic hand tools and power tools.
Ability to follow instructions from the main maintenance technician.Additional Skills & Qualifications
No specific qualifications required.
Experience in carpentry or construction is beneficial.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a small shop that does not require steel-toed boots. Wearing shorts is acceptable. Tools and safety glasses are provided. The environment is mostly indoors with large bay doors open, allowing fresh air to circulate. Occasionally, you may need to work outside.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windber, PennsylvaniaPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
