Job Title: General Laborer / Forklift Operator

Job Description

You will begin your journey in the Shipping department for 2-3 days to understand the full day-to-day operations. After completing this training, you will move to your respective position, which could be Saw Operating, General Labor, Shipping, or Forklift Operating.

Responsibilities

Pulling material to place on the saw

Working well in a team environment

Reading tape measures

Understanding simple math

Lifting 50 lbs constantly

Training and certification on a forklift

Performing hands-on tasks with a high level of work ethicEssential Skills

Experience in manufacturing

Experience with saws

Material handling experience

Experience with measuring tools (tape measure, micrometers, calipers)

Forklift operationAdditional Skills & Qualifications

Forklift operating

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean and well-lit. You will be on your feet for 8 hours a day and will perform a lot of lifting and repetitive lifting. The busiest time is from 2-5:30 pm when all shipments leave the facility. Currently, the shift is running from 10am – 6:30 pm, Monday – Friday. The second shift will soon be changing to 1 pm – 9:30 pm, and you must be available for this shift in the near future.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loves Park, Illinois.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
