Aerotek is hiring experienced Sheet Metal Assemblers for a long-term opportunity in a fast-paced construction-type environment. This role involves hands-on work assembling structural metal building panels using a variety of tools and equipment. Ideal candidates will have experience in roofing, carpentry, mechanical assembly, or general trades and are looking to grow their career in a stable, high-demand field.
Responsibilities
• Assemble structural metal panels and building components
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Use measuring devices such as squares and tape measures accurately
• Perform material handling tasks, including lifting up to 70 lbs
• Follow blueprints, verbal instructions, and written work procedures
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the workspace
• Participate in the development of repeatable shop processes
• Work under deadlines to complete projects efficiently
• Perform other general labor and assembly duties as assigned
Essential Skills
• 2+ years of relevant experience (carpentry, roofing, metalwork, or mechanical assembly)
• Ability to select and operate the right tools for the job
• Comfortable working in various physical positions (standing, kneeling, stooping, overhead work, etc.)
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
• Must be able to provide work history and references for the last 2–5 years
• High school diploma, GED, or vocational training

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
