Job Title: CNC Machinist - Programmer

Job Description

As a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist - Programmer, you will be responsible for modifying existing CNC programs for custom parts and components, efficiently setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills, and completing set-ups on a variety of large, refurbished parts. You will machine parts to close tolerances (.001) from raw materials or castings, ensuring safety and quality requirements are met. Your role will involve reading and interpreting drawings using conventional and geometric tolerances, adjusting speeds and feeds to maximize machining productivity, and using varied measuring tools proficiently.

Responsibilities

Modify existing CNC programs for custom parts and components.

Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills.

Complete set-ups on a variety of large, refurbished parts.

Machine parts to close tolerances (.001) from raw material and/or castings.

Ensure safety and quality requirements are met.

Read and interpret drawings using conventional and geometric tolerances.

Adjust speeds and feeds to maximize machining productivity.

Proficiently use varied measuring tools.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Mazatrol control and Mazak machinery.

Ability to perform quality checks.

Knowledge of tool layout and set up of raw material.

Work Environment

Work in a clean machine shop environment with a team of approximately 200 employees in the plant. The position is part of a decent-sized team on either the 1st or 2nd shift.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
