Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

The CNC Operator is responsible for the timely and accurate production of metallic machined parts per the specifications and requirements of the shop traveler. The CNC Operator is also responsible for error-free processing of each order and for completing the necessary paperwork and computer data entries associated with the CNC Production Process.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, clean, setup, load, and unload the CNC Router.

Effectively and efficiently carry out the production process: Receive order from Production Planner, allocate, pull, and load materials, run job, inspect products, clean, label, and stage finished parts, offload scrap or stock and return materials as needed, process job through the system, and maintain an organized, clean work area.

Verify quality to ensure the product meets customer specifications.

Regularly clean and maintain equipment and machinery.

Program and troubleshoot CNC Router functions.

Understand and adhere to the company's objectives, mission, safety rules, regulations, quality standards, and procedures.

Keep immediate work area clean and organized throughout the day.

Cross-train other team members as assigned.Essential Skills

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid Driver’s License.

Two or more years of machine operating experience.

Intermediate or higher CNC operation experience.

Good reading and math skills.

Good organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Computer skills.

Ability to measure using different tools.

Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction.

Strong work ethic; self-motivated.

Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Coursework in metalworking, blueprint reading, drafting, and math.

Mastercam experience.

6+ months of manufacturing and CNC Mills Machining and CNC Router experience.

Experience with Fanuc Controls on 3-axis machines.

Knowledge of Hyundai, Haas, 3-axis, 4-axis, Fanuc Controls, Mazak, Micrometers, Calipers, CNC Router, Mills, CNC, Mills, Router, and CNC mill operations.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a non-climate controlled warehouse. In the winter, heaters are available, and in the summer, doors are opened and large fans circulate the air. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, and steel-toed shoes. Employees will be exposed to hazardous machinery, sharp tools, moving objects, noise, heat, and humidity. Third shift hours are Sunday through Thursday from 10pm to 6:30am, with Fridays as overtime days. This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr.
