Information Technology Intern - Summer

Job Description

Salary: $20-$25 per hour

BEI Construction is seeking an Information Technology Intern to support our Information Technology department. This role will be based at our corporate office in Alameda and report to the IT Director and Helpdesk Specialist.

Duration: 3 months

Classification: Part-time or Full-time (work schedule options are between 20-40 hours per week, within parameters of 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday)

Responsibilities:

Provide technical assistance to end-users on hardware and software-related issues.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, and software.

Interact with users, both technical and non-technical, in a clear and helpful manner

Assist with other IT tasks as assigned by supervisors

Document all user interactions and issues in a ticketing system.

Continuously update knowledge of IT technologies and tools.

General Purpose:

With general supervision, provides a part-time or full-time employment opportunity for college level interns to perform job assignments that are closely related to their area of study. Any college or graduate level student may apply for consideration.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or related fields

Minimum GPA of 3.0
