We are helping an autonomous tractor trailer company hire an engineering-focused Vehicle Technician to support the readiness of its fleet vehicles.
In this role, you will perform maintenance, repairs and contribute towards the operations of the lab. This will include scheduled service, diagnostics, repair coordination, lab space fit/function and general upkeep.
We're looking for someone with extensive knowledge of the maintenance and repair of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of prior technician experience.
As a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, you'll:
Configure, set up, maintain, diagnose and sign off on vehicles for safe on-road usage (may need to travel locally to perform this work on occasion).
Sync with the shop foreman to ensure all vehicles are in a “ready” state for demonstration and testing requirements.
Perform diagnostics and escalate to the appropriate engineering team if required.
Coordinate and drive the repair process.
Create diagnostic test plans as the team sees fit.
Maintain service records and document quality field reports.
Maintain shop facilities, ensure tools are in order and workspace is in excellent working condition.
Assist with parts inventory, location and organization.
Build an excellent service experience for internal teams and business partners.

Auto Technician/Mechanic Requirements
2+ years of technician experience
Extensive knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles
Clean/excellent driving record
Reliable, self-starter, roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deliverables
Team player spirit
Excellent written and verbal skills
Must be honest, responsible and an outstanding communicator
Auto Technician/Mechanic Preferred Qualifications:
ASE Certification
Experience with medium/heavy trucks, including diagnostics and repairs
Familiarity with autonomous vehicle sensors (radar/camera/lidar) and their integration
Comfortable with Windows and Linux environments
