Manufacturing Development Engineer

TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer

Comp: Up to $110,000/year

Location: Greensburg, IN

Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a Manufacturing Engineer direct hire position in Greensburg, IN

Responsibilities:

Develop concepts and prepare justification documentation for capital investment projects

Design, specify, and oversee the installation of new production machinery

Lead smaller-scale projects independently and contribute to cross-functional teams on larger initiatives

Innovate and implement new manufacturing methods to improve operational efficiency

Partner with product engineering to support the design and cost estimation of new parts for production

Serve as the subject matter expert for a designated production department, including both machinery and manufacturing processes

Identify, analyze, and implement improvements for manufacturing cost reduction and production efficiency

Assist production and maintenance teams with troubleshooting and repairing machinery and automation systems, and develop countermeasures to minimize future downtime

Provide hands-on training for production staff on equipment operation

Train maintenance personnel in equipment troubleshooting and repair techniques

Mentor fellow engineers in specialized technical areas

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering

At least 5 years of experience within Project Management within an Industrial Manufacturing setting

Able to demonstrate a working knowledge and efficiency working with PLC’s
