Job Title: Project Manager II – SAP MDG

Location: Waukegan, IL (5 days Onsite)

Duration: 05/05/2025 to 05/05/2026 with potential for extension

Hours/Week: 40 hours per week (non-exempt)

Rate: $90 – $100/hour

Contract Type: W-2 only, no visa sponsorships or subcontracting

Scope of Services:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager II – SAP MDG to oversee the daily operations and performance of the SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) platform, specifically focused on Material Master data. This position plays a critical role in ensuring data integrity, system stability, and operational compliance across enterprise-wide MDG processes. The role is full-time and onsite at our Waukegan, IL location.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations of the SAP MDG system, ensuring a stable, reliable, and compliant environment.

Oversee incident management and ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance.

Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for MDG Material Master and support process owners in related areas.

Partner with the Data Governance team to maintain high data quality and compliance with regulatory standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including ERP CoE, supply chain, shared services, and business units, to align and integrate MDG processes.

Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to optimize MDG performance.

Generate and analyze performance reports, identifying system trends and improvement opportunities.

Support major SAP-related projects and enhancements involving MDG.

Maintain system documentation, contribute to audits, and ensure process compliance.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

8–10 years of experience in SAP or Master Data roles

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP MDG, with a strong focus on Material Master

Proficiency in SAP MDG, SAP ECC, and SAP S/4HANA

Strong understanding of data governance principles and operational best practices

Demonstrated ability to lead or coordinate across cross-functional and technical teams

Preferred:

Master’s degree in a relevant field

Prior managerial experience or project team leadership

Experience working in highly regulated or enterprise environments (e.g., pharma, med device, manufacturing)
