Interim Fund Accounting Manager
Our client, a private investment firm in the venture capital space, is seeking a Fund Accounting Consultant to support their finance operations during a team member's upcoming leave. This role offers the opportunity to work with a high-caliber finance team on fund operations, investor reporting, and audit support. While the company has a hybrid work environment with offices in the Bay Area, they are open to candidates who need a fully remote arrangement.
Responsibilities
Manage daily fund accounting operations including capital calls, distributions, and allocations
Review NAV calculations, financial statements, and investor capital accounts
Ensure compliance with partnership agreements, internal policies, and US GAAP (including ASC 946)
Support investor reporting, audits, and tax processes
Requirements
Fund accounting experience at the Manager or Controller level
Strong background in VC or PE fund environments
Knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 946
Experience supporting audits and investor reporting
Compensation:
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $80 - $100 per hour. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
