Social Media Marketing Intern

Mity Inc. is an award-winning global manufacturer of professionally designed highly durable furniture products. Trusted worldwide, MityLite products are found primarily in banquet, meeting, and event venues in the hospitality, education, government, and worship markets.

Our marketing department is looking for a Social Media Marketing Intern to join our team. We need a dynamic self-motivated individual who is willing to help all parts of the marketing team and create solutions to meet our growing needs as a world leader in our industry.

As the Social Media Marketing Intern, you will support marketing leadership and the marketing team’s overall efforts and campaigns. This individual will contribute greatly to the digital marketing and campaign team to assist with marketing channel execution, specifically in social media marketing, and email marketing. The ideal candidate will be familiar with a wide range of marketing functions including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, SEO, and social media.

This is a part time in office position. Ideally, the candidate would work Monday, Wednesday and Thrusday 8am - 5pm.

Duties and responsibilities

Assist in planning social media content across all MITY Inc. brands

Writing social media posts

Managing social media calendar & post execution

Managing incoming messages and comments on social media posts and ads

Conduct market research to identify target audiences and analyze market trends

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in marketing

Assist in other digital marketing projects as needed (Email Marketing, Sales Enablement Templates, Digital Ads, Literature, etc.)

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing strategies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and contribute ideas

Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision

Strong organizational skills

Detail-oriented

Preferred Education/Experience Requirements:

In 3rd (Junior) or 4th (Senior) year of college graduate program (Marketing, Communications, or Other Similar Field
