Assistant Plant Manager

Your Day-to-Day:

Ensure departments operate safely, comply with environmental standards, and maintain programs to protect personnel, facilities, and cleanliness.

Oversee operations to maintain efficient workflows, production timelines, quality benchmarks, and inventory levels.

Optimize resources, workforce, and processes to achieve cost-effective operations using team-based management principles and standard work policies.

Coordinate planning and production efforts to ensure efficient scheduling, cost optimization, and process reliability while collaborating with quality assurance and engineering teams.

Develop and manage annual budgets, quality initiatives, and productivity improvement strategies.

Conduct performance evaluations for team members and establish training programs to support operational goals and growth.

Collaborate with other operational leaders and technical teams as needed.

Support special projects or additional responsibilities as assigned, potentially stepping into a higher leadership role during absences.

What You Bring to the Team:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) or business management, with demonstrated technical aptitude.

At least 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, including supervisory and management responsibilities.

Strong leadership and team-building skills with a track record of driving change in industrial settings.

Proven ability to manage large teams, set goals, allocate resources, and handle performance management processes.

Technical expertise and problem-solving skills to support operational infrastructure.

Experience with productivity methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.

Familiarity with quality management principles and ERP systems
