Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search, a Hispanic woman-owned and nationally recognized recruiting firm, is proud to partner with a fast-growing global lifestyle brand headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, to find a talented and experienced Intellectual Property (IP) Paralegal.

This is a full-time, hybrid position ideal for a professional seeking a dynamic role within a highly collaborative legal team and an innovative organization. The company offers a fast-paced, ownership-driven culture focused on innovation, growth, and impact.

The IP Paralegal will play a critical role in managing and protecting the company’s global intellectual property portfolio. This includes working closely with in-house counsel, business teams, and outside counsel to oversee filings, track deadlines, monitor infringements, and maintain compliance across all aspects of IP management.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management: Oversee domestic and international trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets. Maintain internal tracking systems and manage renewal schedules.

Filing & Documentation: Coordinate with outside counsel and third-party vendors to prepare, review, and file IP applications, renewals, and maintenance documents.

Compliance & Recordkeeping: Ensure all IP records are current and compliant with global regulations. Support audits and provide IP-related reporting to legal leadership.

Research & Due Diligence: Conduct IP research, including trademark availability, competitor IP monitoring, and infringement risk analysis.

IP Enforcement Support: Assist in monitoring for potential infringements and support legal action, including cease-and-desist processes. Collaborate with legal and brand protection teams.

Internal Training & Support: Educate business units on IP procedures, answer questions, and help embed IP best practices across the company.

Qualifications:

Paralegal certification or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in IP law within a law firm or in-house legal department

Strong knowledge of trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and research abilities

Experience working with third-party IP service providers and external counsel

Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and working cross-functionallyBenefits Include:
