Full-Time Mathematics Teacher for Grades

The Columbus Torah Academy in Columbus, Ohio ( ), is looking for a dynamic individual to teach Mathematics in the upper school (grades 7-12), beginning in the 2025-26 academic year.

Columbus Torah Academy, an independent K-12 Jewish day school accredited by ISACS, is located on the east side of Columbus on a private campus. Columbus Torah Academy is an independent college preparatory school with approximately 220 students total, with 80 in the Junior High and High School.

The candidate should be a passionate and knowledgeable math teacher who can engage students with clear instruction, real-world applications, and a supportive learning environment. The candidate should have strong instructional skills, the ability to make complex concepts accessible, and a commitment to student success. Our classes are small, and our teachers enjoy getting to know their students well.

Position Expectations:

The individual selected to this position will be expected to carry out the following responsibilities:

Teach middle school/high school level math classes, which could include Algebra I, Algebra II, and Statistics.

Assume a share of responsibilities expected of all upper school faculty members

Collaborate with departmental colleagues on curriculum design and development

Provide periodic updates to parents about student progress, via both written reports and in-person conferences

Incorporate technological resources effectively

Hold students accountable for the school’s standards of behavior

Work with other members in the school community to support each student’s emotional well-being

Qualifications:

College degree (BS or BA) required in a related field

Post graduate experience in Education or Mathematics preferred but not required

Excellent writing and communication skills, proficiency with technology, a commitment to personal growth, a spirit of collaboration and flexibility
