Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Generator Service Sales Representative to expand our service footprint and support our growing customer base. This role focuses on selling preventive maintenance contracts, service repairs, emergency support, and retrofit solutions for industrial generators and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Generate new service business by prospecting and following up on leads

Sell preventive maintenance agreements, extended warranties, and service contracts

Identify and pursue opportunities for generator repairs, overhauls, upgrades, and fuel system services

Build strong relationships with facilities managers, property owners, contractors, and decision-makers

Collaborate with the service and parts departments to ensure customer satisfaction

Conduct site assessments to recommend appropriate service solutions

Maintain detailed records in CRM and provide accurate sales forecasting

Educate customers on the importance of routine maintenance and compliance with NFPA and manufacturer guidelines

Stay current on industry standards, generator technologies, and service offeringsQualifications

2+ years of experience in industrial service or technical sales, preferably in power generation

Working knowledge of diesel generator systems and service practices

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Ability to read equipment specifications and maintenance scopes

Self-starter with a customer-first mindset and a drive to meet sales goals

Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territoryPreferred

Experience with generator brands like Cummins, CAT, Kohler, Generac, or MTU

Background in electrical/mechanical systems or field service operations

Familiarity with NFPA 110, NEC, and generator compliance standardsCompensation & Benefits
