Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Generator Sales Representative to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing new business, managing customer relationships, and selling industrial diesel generator systems and related services.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the industrial and commercial sectors
Conduct site visits and power assessments to develop tailored generator solutions
Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and presentations to customers
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to project close-out
Build strong relationships with contractors, engineers, end users, and purchasing agents
Stay up to date on diesel generator technologies, sizing, and applications
Collaborate with internal project managers, technicians, and engineering teams
Attend trade shows and networking events to promote company offeringsQualifications
3+ years of experience in industrial equipment sales, preferably in power generation
Strong knowledge of diesel generator systems (Cummins, CAT, Kohler, Generac, etc.)
Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams and understand sizing/load calculations
Self-motivated with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territoryPreferred
Technical degree or certification in electrical, mechanical, or power generation fields
Familiarity with NFPA 110, NEC, and other generator-related standardsCompensation & Benefits
