Exciting Direct Hire Opportunity!
Our Client, an Engineering and Field Services Company, is seeking a Survey Data Technician to join their team. Pipeline as-built experience is a must for this role.
Responsibilities:
Management and organization of collected pipeline as-built survey data
Data processing and initial QAQC of survey data collected and pipe tally from survey crews using Trimble Pipeline Module and other spreadsheet tools
Updating and Maintaining the Master As-built Drawing (ACAD Civil 3d)
Interaction with survey crews on data issues
Progress tracking report
Perform data entry and upkeep of pertinent survey project information from title abstract reports, survey contact reports, survey files check registers, survey documents and status reports.
Assist with the preparation of survey documents, mass mailings, survey forms and various reports including project status meeting reports and survey acquisition status reports.
Process all acquired documents in coordination with the survey document staff to ensure consistency and accuracy. Ensure the database information matches the document staff file information.
Ensure that all survey files are accurate, current and organized.
Responsible for the organization, safe keeping and retrieval of records.
Coordinate with other survey staff to ensure database administration activities including report setup and preparation are completed according to direction provided from survey project management.
Read and interpret maps and property descriptions.
Assist with updating and maintaining all survey related forms, claims, documents, correspondence, files, record databases, project tasks, status reports and other reports as requested by the company.
Responsible for overseeing the entire process of collecting, managing, and analyzing survey data.
Identifying and addressing data quality issues like missing values, inconsistencies, and communicating these findings with all stakeholders.
Review daily progress on a project basis, and maintain a log of data files submitted by Survey field crews.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
3+ years of experience with survey database management and data entry preferred.
Experience with Trimble Business Center
AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus.
Prior field survey experience a plus.
Knowledge of survey related documents.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Strong understanding of pipeline survey methodology
Ability to manage complex data sets and trouble shoot technical issues
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with Inspection, Survey Party Chiefs and technical teams.
Prefer previous experience on major projects as Survey Data Technician
Availability and flexibility to travel dependent on project needs and requirements.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, topographic maps, tax/parcel maps, plats and deed descriptions.
