Remedy Intelligent Staffing is proud to work with some of the finest companies in Eastern Iowa.
Our client is an internationally known supplier of specialty metal products for industrial and commercial applications located in the Cedar Rapids area.
Our client needs to fill several machine operator positions; these are all temp to hire opportunities for the right candidate.
These are 12-hour shift positions on the night shift schedule. These positions are in a manufacturing environment which may include weather and environmental extremes.
Shift/Hours: 3rd shift. 7PM - 7AM
Pay: $21.70/hour + plus shift differential.
Responsibilities Include:
Setting up and operating plant machinery in a safe and appropriate manner.
Troubleshooting machine errors or discrepancies.
Review schedules to determine set up work sequence
Review equipment check list
Follow all safety requirements and operate in a safe manner
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
At least 2 years of heavy industrial machine operator experience IS REQUIRED!
The preferred candidate will be required to read, write, stand, talk and hear
Occasionally may be required to sit, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, write, type, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
Twisting, reaching, grasping, pulling pushing and other manual dexterity required
Must have the ability to distinguish and identify colors
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
