Job Requirements

Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines that are used to manufacture precision parts and products. The role requires ensuring the machine is running efficiently, reading technical drawings, and producing high-quality parts while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Machine Setup: Set up CNC machines, including loading and unloading materials, adjusting tooling, and configuring machine settings based on job specifications.

Operating CNC Machines: Operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.) to perform tasks such as drilling, cutting, and shaping metal, plastic, and other materials as per blueprints or job instructions.

Reading Technical Drawings: Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and instructions to ensure parts are produced to precise specifications.

Quality Control: Monitor production and perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to ensure the parts meet required tolerances and specifications.

Troubleshooting: Detect and troubleshoot issues with the machine, such as mechanical or electrical problems, and perform minor maintenance or report issues to the maintenance team.

Maintaining Equipment: Ensure that CNC machines are kept in good working condition, performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn-out parts.

Safety: Adhere to all safety procedures and wear necessary protective equipment while operating the machinery.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production, quality inspections, and machine maintenance.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in CNC operation preferred.

Experience: Previous experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is often required.

Skills:

Strong understanding of CNC machinery and operating principles.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

Familiarity with a variety of precision measuring tools.

Ability to make adjustments and troubleshoot machines as needed.

Basic knowledge of machining materials and their properties.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods.

Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Ability to lift and move heavy materials, sometimes up to 50 pounds.Company Description
