Description

Join a mission-driven team at the forefront of inclusive workforce innovation. This dynamic role goes beyond traditional job coaching—it's about creating innovative pathways to employment for adults with intellectual and developmental differences (IDD). We are seeking a creative individual to help design and lead adult training programs, conduct skills assessments, provide job placement/coaching support, innovate job retention solutions, and assist with the launching of new employment models like pop-up workforce teams and micro-enterprises.

Reports To: Director of Workforce Innovation

Positions Supervised: None

Key Responsibilities:

Workforce Innovation & Community Employment

Contribute to the development of pop-up employment teams—mobile groups of job seekers working in short-term, project-based roles with local businesses.

Design and launch microenterprise opportunities that empower individuals with IDD to build job skills, explore entrepreneurship, and earn income.

Identify essential skills for pop-up roles and create short, targeted certification classes to prepare participants (e.g., customer service, sorting, basic inventory).

Employment Supports & Coaching

Provide personalized job development, interview coaching, and on-the-job support.

Deliver follow-along coaching and troubleshooting challenges to support long-term job retention.

Assist with scheduling, transportation coordination, and communication among clients employers, support coordinators, and caregivers.

Career Readiness and Retention Training

Conduct individualized skills assessments to identify participant strengths and areas for growth.

Design and lead career readiness and employment retention training for adults with IDD, focused on transferable job skills, industry-specific certification, and more.

Track progress, measure skill development, and celebrate milestones as individuals grow and succeed.

Program Leadership & Administration

Maintain accurate records, case notes, and data tracking systems aligned with funders, including Vocational Rehabilitation, Agency for Persons with Disabilities, and agency standards.

Act as a connector between program leadership and field staff, helping to ensure quality across training and employment sites.

Coordinate meetings, trainings, and events to foster ongoing learning and community engagement.

Who You Are:

A creative problem-solver who sees potential in people and enjoys designing programs that help them shine.

A builder and doer who can take an idea, map a plan, and make it happen.

A strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment and can work with a wide range of people.

Someone with vision and heart—eager to lead change in the way people with IDD find and thrive in meaningful work.

Qualifications

Experience in employment services, adult education/training, workforce development, or disability services preferred.

Strong organizational, instructional, and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on program needs.
