Software Cloud Engineer

Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Software Cloud Engineer for a contract job with a client in Dearborn, MI. Responsibilities include serving as a technical lead, assisting multiple teams with converting business goals into product requirements, and designing cloud solutions using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.

Rate Range: $70/hour to $75/ hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Software Cloud Engineer job responsibilities include:

Serving as a technical lead, providing direction and support to a team of Software Engineers.

Assisting business customers, product owners, and IT teams in converting business goals into product requirements and developing solutions.

Designing and developing cloud solutions using GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and cloud computing technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.

Installing, configuring, monitoring, and tuning infrastructure tools to ensure optimal performance.

Writing and maintaining software in Python and/or R, with a focus on cloud-based applications.

Coordinating activities across multiple diverse teams and ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting technical issues across systems and software.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years of cloud solution design experience.

Strong proficiency in GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and cloud computing technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Python and/or R software development, with Anaconda experience preferred.

Pay Details: $70.00 to $75.00 per hour
