Job Description

Primary responsibility will be packing, prepping orders for shipment and then loading them into semis and flatbeds. The role also includes forklift operation (15-20% of the time). When not shipping/receiving, you will help with assembling or blasting attachments for forklifts, skidsteers, and telehandlers. You will use a tape measure to read down to 1/16", use a computer to pull paperwork for shipping, and pull stock from shelving. The build list is written on a whiteboard at your station, and the Production Manager will help with prioritizing the cuts.

Responsibilities

Pack and prep orders for shipment.

Load orders into semis and flatbeds.

Operate a forklift (15-20% of the time).

Assist with assembling or blasting attachments for forklifts, skidsteers, and telehandlers.

Use a tape measure to read down to 1/16".

Use a computer to pull paperwork for shipping.

Pull stock from shelving.

Lift up to 50 lbs.Essential Skills

Proficiency in using tape measures, hand tools, and power tools.

Ability to read blueprints.

Experience with shipping and receiving processes.

General labor skills.

Forklift operation (training will be provided if necessary).Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with loading awkward-shaped items is helpful.

Flexibility to assist across the shop with tasks such as blasting, assembly, and material handling.Why Work Here?

This position offers a smaller town feel inside the shop, which has recently doubled in size and added a new paint booth to the facility. The company produces a niche product with very few competitors, providing a unique and stable work environment.

Work Environment

You will be working in a metal shop environment with about 20-25 employees. The hours are from 7 AM to 5 PM, with a possible shift from 8 AM to 5 PM. Steel-toed boots are required, and any other PPE will be provided if desired.

Location: Casselton, ND Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
