Job Title: Plating Operator

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Plating Operator to perform Sulfuric acid anodize applications, including the use of dyes, specifically black dye. The role requires proficiency in Sulfuric acid and Chromic acid anodize applications and familiarity with Chem.-Treat (chemical conversion coating) in both manual and tank processing. As a Level 4 Anodize Operator, responsibilities include applying anodize and Chem.-Treat applications to a variety of aluminum part configurations to provide corrosion-resistant surfaces, improve adhesion for paint primers, or achieve decorative properties.

Responsibilities

Perform Sulfuric acid anodize applications, including black dye

Apply Chromic acid anodize applications

Execute Chem.-Treat applications in both manual and tank processing

Maintain anodize equipment and tooling

Rack and unrack parts for processing

Perform inspections of finished products

Train and mentor other operators

Process products controlled under international regulationsEssential Skills

Proficiency in Sulfuric acid anodize process applications

Experience with Chromic acid anodize process applications

Knowledge of Chem.-Treat applications

Maintenance of racks and racking implementsAdditional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience in the application of Anodize and Chem-treat coatings

Experience in the processing of decorative and functional Sulfuric acid anodize, including clear and black dye applications

Minimum 3 years of experience in the application of Cadmium, Copper, and Zinc/Nickel plating, ferrous cleaning and Passivation processing

Experience with production line operations, Permascopes, and micrometers

Strong leadership qualities

Excellent communication skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $40.00/hr.
