Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

Our organization, the inventor of the original bulk palletizer, continues to lead the industry in robotic automation and material handling equipment. We manufacture sophisticated low-level palletizers, high and low-level case palletizers, and multi-line case palletizing systems. Our sister company in Oshkosh builds large industrial conveyors and sends work to our Randolph facility. We primarily build products for the Food and Beverage and Chemical industries and partner with leading companies such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Ball, Busch Beans, and Nestle.

Responsibilities

Use machine drawings, machine assembly drawings, control schematics, and relevant bills of materials to proficiently build according to drawings and solve problems where needed.

Engage in the reduction and/or elimination of non-value-added work throughout the organization.

Utilize hand tools proficiently in performing tasks such as structural assembly, mechanical drive assembly, fluid control assembly, guard and cover assembly, mechanical assembly, and simple electrical assembly, ensuring quality workmanship and neatness.

Complete quality assurance checks for the Blue Books.

Provide accurate documentation skills, including labor reporting, material issue/returns, material moves, and material scrap reports.

Execute inventory re-ordering policies, including 'Kanban'.

Prepare equipment for shipment, including machine teardown.Essential Skills

Mechanical assembly experience

Proficiency with tape measure, hand tools, and power tools

Ability to read and understand blueprints

Work Environment

This is a 1st shift position with hours from 5:30 AM to Monday - Thursday, including a 30-minute lunch break. Voluntary overtime may be available on Fridays or Saturdays, with potential for 10-hour shifts. Involuntary overtime, if necessary, will be communicated to employees on Monday and may occur on Fridays or Saturdays. The facility is very clean and well-lit, with assemblers working in groups of 2-6. We use Milwaukee tools, and candidates may be asked to work on platforms 20 feet high and 70 feet long.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $23.50/hr.
