Electrical Reliability & Maintenance Engineer

Compensation: $55.00 - 104.00/hour, DOE

Location: Notrees, TX

Per Diem and Travel Home available if not local to area

Work Schedule: Can support M-F or rotational schedule

Assignment Duration: 12 months+

Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and participate in programs, methods, systems, and practices for maintaining a safe work

Support commissioning and start up of industrial Direct Air Capture facility. This will include equipment QA/QC validation, acceptance of equipment and documentation and troubleshooting on start up

Monitor equipment performance and make recommendations to improve reliability and reduce cost

Provide QAQC support conducting inspections, performance quality audits, and ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, while assisting in the identification and resolution of quality-related issues

Provide cost estimating and engineering proposals on routine replacement of equipment to correct maintenance problems or for the improvement of processing equipment

Provide technical support to production and maintenance organizations throughout the plant to evaluate and resolve maintenance problems

Provide training to production, maintenance, and other departments in the proper operation, troubleshooting, repair techniques, controls, and care of electrical equipment

Keep current on new technology and equipment and evaluate applicability for use in the plant

Consult with contractors, Company maintenance personnel and outside service groups on capital and maintenance projects

Develop, implement, and evaluate preventive maintenance programs

Ensure applicable preventative maintenance programs are functioning and are executed as designed

Ensure compliance of electrical maintenance systems and electrical components with corporate standards

Establish testing and calibration procedures for electrical equipment, as necessary

Recommend, establish, and update spare parts requirements for existing or new equipment

Prepare equipment specifications and purchase requests

Develop inspection, testing, outage, and repair scopes throughout the plant

Lead in troubleshooting issues with major equipment or repetitive issues

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and operating permits

Actively participates in plant’s Health, Environmental, Safety and Security (HESS) programs to assure a safe and environmentally sound workplace. Actively participate in safety meetings and various other Cllient programs while promoting safety through offering recommendations to other employees on working safely

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

5 years previous Electrical Engineering Experience in a Power Generation or Manufacturing Environment required, 10 or more years preferred

Ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information and in the time required

Strong analytical/problem solving/trouble shooting skills

High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write and speak in English

Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team and to develop team members

Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis

Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required

Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator and be able to respond to visual and audible alarms
