Position Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Program Manager to coordinate and monitor the performance across assigned program platforms, ensuring the best functional, technical, and profitable value of company projects. This role will act as a liaison between fabrication partners, the leadership team, and customers. The ideal candidate will have significant program management experience, a strong understanding of manufacturing/production environments, and the ability to manage complex projects while ensuring high-quality standards. This position reports directly to the Director of Programs and requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple priorities, track program metrics, and resolve potential project interruptions effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate program performance across all stages to meet functional, technical, and profitability goals.

Act as a liaison between fabrication partners, leadership, and occasionally, customers.

Track and report program metrics, risks, assumptions, and milestones using project management tools on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Communicate with the Director of Programs regarding any risks or potential interruptions, including those affecting budget, on-time delivery, or quality.

Manage all work orders outside the original scope of work, ensuring proper approvals and customer invoicing.

Increase contracted parameters for improved profitability, when feasible.

Recommend resources and scheduling requirements to ensure on-time delivery.

Detect, report, and resolve program issues in a timely manner.

Manage technical data and documentation for the program, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

Provide direction to the Project Manager and communicate program updates effectively to team members, departments, and customers.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of program management experience in manufacturing/production settings.

Proven leadership skills with a track record of success in past roles.

Proficiency with Microsoft software applications; experience with Microsoft Project is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to manage departmental budgets.

Excellent professional communication skills, including experience corresponding with customers and executive leadership.

PMP Certification is required.

Heavy plate fabrication experience, including welding, is preferred.

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Business Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college, university, or technical school; or five (5) years of related experience in engineering, finance, or manufacturing management, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

CPIM or PMP certification preferred.
