Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking an eager Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part on our R&D Team by designing and building rapid-prototype, generative AI applications for diverse customers. You will leverage cutting-edge Generative AI technologies to demonstrate their capabilities and help customers realize functional solutions on the Google Cloud Platform. This is a highly collaborative role where you will work closely with customers and the internal product team to push the boundaries of our Generative AI offerings and share best practices.

Responsibilities

Construct rapid prototype Generative AI applications tailored explicitly for Torchlight customers.

Apply the latest Generative AI technologies to develop innovative solutions and validate their effectiveness.

Produce functional Generative AI solutions on the Google Cloud platform.

Collaborate closely with the product team to address technical challenges and influence the future direction of Generative AI offerings.

Operate effectively and drive results in ambiguous and rapidly evolving situations.

Qualifications Required

Proficient in Python and SQL

Experience with REST APIs and common Python analytical libraries (pandas, geopandas, etc.)

Experience with GCP tools such as BigQuery, VertexAI, DataFlow, DataProc, etc

Hands-on experience with building and evaluating AI Agents and Agentic workflows

Proven experience in operationalizing and automating ML and GenAI solutions in production environments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Experience with conflict resolution and negotiation.

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and a passion for continuous learning and innovation.

Qualifications Desired

An Active US DoD Secret or TS Security clearance is preferred
