Duties:
The SR. Engineering Tech (NETWORK) responsibilities will act as a SCADA Network technical lead in the design, development, and daily support of the company’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Network infrastructure.
This position requires competence and knowledge of Industrial Control System (ICS) LAN / WAN networking and best practices in SCADA network architecture and security design including hands-on experience of ICS network infrastructures and best practices, experience configuring, patching, and upgrading with minimal downtime, and providing a high availability network infrastructure.
In this position will also work closely with the IT network and project management teams, and SCADA network/security consultants oversee the design, development, proof of concept, and upgrade of the Company’s SCADA network communications infrastructure.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Required):
Knowledge of industrial control systems 1/0 technologies and SCADA Protocols (Modbus, DNP3, CIP)
Provides specialized and complex expertise in the design, deployment, and review of control systems.
LAN/WAN networks:
Administer, configure, validate, and maintain the Company's SCADA network and related hardware/software infrastructure.
Provide expertise in the design, deployment, and review of control systems LAN/WAN networks.
Develop and maintain manuals, test procedures, and specifications for network upgrade and maintenance tasks.
Install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade, and monitor performance of network components.
Develop and maintain network documentation.
Resolve network problems.
Support network functions, including applying patches, installing network operating system revisions, maintaining, and upgrading hardware.
Communicate network issues to project team, enhance network management and monitoring solutions, and make recommendations necessary to mitigate risks utilizing industry best practices and solutions.
Coordinate with IT Network and Security teams to ensure security policies and procedures are implemented as defined in security plans.
Coordinate with consultants, programmers, and engineers to ensure the successful design, enhancements, implementation, and administration of SCADA network technologies.
Coordinates with IT Network team to ensure SCADA network equipment follows IT standards and are configured according to industry’s best practices.
Experience Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education development test (GED), and two years of accredited college or university in engineering and eight years of relevant experience, two years of which must have been at the Engineering Technician III level.
INTERMEDIATE KNOWLEDGE: SEE SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Required).
KNOWLEDGE IN PROCESSING: SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Required).

Detail orient, Organized, Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills a must.

The hiring range for this position is $60.00 to $65.00 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors
