Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Paint Prep Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing axles and other components for painting by ensuring they are clean, sanded, and masked correctly. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and integrity of our painted products.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare axles and other components for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking.

Ensure surfaces are free of contaminants and defects.

Apply primers and coatings as required.

Inspect surfaces for contamination, damage, or imperfections.

Clean and degrease surfaces to be painted.

Scrape and sand surfaces to remove old paint, rust, or other imperfections.

Mix and apply primer or undercoat.

Mask and demask, protecting areas that should not be painted.

Maintain equipment and tools used for painting preparation.

Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing environment with a running assembly line and forklifts throughout the facility. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed boots, ear plugs, and gloves are required. Two shifts are available: 1st Shift (5am/6am - 2:30pm) and 2nd Shift (3pm - midnight).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alburtis, Pennsylvania.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
