CNC Mastercam Programmer/ Machinist – Full-Time, Day Shift

Location: Northern Macomb County/Southern St. Clair county area

We are working with a respected precision manufacturing client who is seeking a skilled CNC Mastercam Programmer to join their team on a full-time, day shift schedule. This is a hands-on role requiring strong programming ability along with a solid background in CNC machining and tooling strategies.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will have experience programming a variety of equipment including Mazak, Haas, Hurco, Bridgeport, Lathe, and 5-Axis machines, and must be proficient in Mastercam and CAD/CAM software. The company is looking for someone who can develop and optimize programs, support production with troubleshooting, and bring a strong understanding of machine capabilities and limitations.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for milling, turning, and 5-axis applications

Interpret complex engineering drawings and translate them into effective machining processes

Select tools and determine feeds, speeds, and cutting paths based on material and machine capabilities

Collaborate with machinists and production staff to ensure seamless program execution and workflow

Support setup processes and assist in troubleshooting programming or machining issues on the floor

Maintain and organize program files, documentation, and revision history

What We Are Looking For:

Proficiency in Mastercam and strong knowledge of CAD/CAM systems

Solid experience programming for Mazak, Haas, Hurco, Bridgeport, and multi-axis/lathe equipment

Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and precision

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-focused environment

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
