Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

We are seeking skilled CNC machinists to work at a manufacturing facility in Midway, Georgia. This position requires at least 3 years of experience of CNC machining experience on the job. Pay goes up to $27 an hour for qualified candidates. Machinists will work a 4-10 schedule with Friday being overtime.

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will set up and operate various standard and specialized machines to perform necessary operations.

This includes CNC lathes (horizontal and vertical), CNC milling machines, manual lathes, manual mills, general hand tools, jib and overhead cranes.

You will need a general understanding of G-code to perform common machining operations and be willing to learn to set up and operate any new machinery added to your department. You will be responsible for checking parts with standard gauges or precision measuring instruments, reading blueprints, understanding general GD&T principles, and documenting the condition of dies and die components.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes (horizontal and vertical) and CNC milling machines

Operate manual lathes and mills, and use general hand tools

Utilize jib and overhead cranes

Understand and apply G-code for machining operations

Learn to set up and operate new machinery as needed

Check parts with micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, depth micrometers, and dial indicators

Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T principles

Evaluate, inspect, and document the condition of dies and die componentsAdditional Skills & Qualifications

Machinist certification preferred

CNC machining experience

3+ years of manufacturing experience

3+ years of experience operating mobile equipment

3+ years of experience using hand tools, power tools, and related equipment

3+ years of experience in related machinery operations

Ability to read and interpret product prints

Ability to use inspection gauges and instruments

Ability to set up machinery for operation by self or others

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $27.38/hr.
