Business Development Manager
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Travel: 50% of the time in the Midwest and East Coast
Pay Rate: $120,000 - $150,000 per year + uncapped commission
Summary:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager on behalf of our client for a direct hire role. This position involves driving business growth and expanding market presence within the utilities sector, specifically focusing on the gas side. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business development and a proven track record in the utilities industry.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the utilities sector, focusing on gas services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders.
Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that meet client needs.
Travel 50% of the time within the Midwest and East Coast to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Strong professional communication and negotiation skills.
Proven track record in business development within the utilities sector, specifically gas services.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in business development.
Extensive experience in the utilities sector, with a focus on gas services.
Proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
Willingness to travel 50% of the time within the Midwest and East Coast.
Must Haves:
Industry experience coming directly from a competitor having sold to gas utilities in most recent role. (List of utilities included)
Money-motivated and dynamic sales personality, self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Strong professional communicator capable of interacting professionally with C-Suite and developing network relationships.
Proven sales track record having grown portfolio both in account growth and new logos. Managed a book of business $20M plus.
Some understanding or background in Accounting and Finance.
Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
