General Cleaner Warehousing/Stores environment

As a General Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene in a warehouse or stores environment. You will ensure that floors, storage areas, equipment, and common areas remain clean and safe for workers. This role is essential for maintaining a safe working environment and complying with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Sweep, mop, and scrub warehouse floors and surfaces.

Remove trash, debris, and recyclable materials from the premises.

Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.

Dust and wipe down shelves, equipment, and workstations.

Operate cleaning machines such as floor scrubbers and pressure washers.

Refill supplies like paper towels, soap, and sanitizers.

Report any maintenance or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Requirements & Skills:

Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial work (preferred).

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Ability to lift and move moderate-weight objects.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime if needed.

Work Environment:

Warehouse setting with varying temperatures.

Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

Salary Range: R 6200 – R 8000 per month.
