Winsert is seeking qualified candidates for a Help Desk Support Technician. Full-time or part-time flexible scheduling options are available. Ideal for a local student looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of Information Technology or an experienced professional.

The Help Desk Support Technician will be the first point of contact for our internal team members needing technical assistance. This role will collaborate with third party consultants and internal Business Technology team members to resolve hardware, software, and network issues. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our employees have seamless access to technology.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide first line support to identify, investigate and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues via phone, email, or in person.

Maintain and update help desk tickets to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Collaborate with third-party consultants to execute hardware and software installation or updates

Escalate complex issues to other team members as appropriate.

Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of equipment and computer systems

Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends

Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong interest in IT systems and networks

Familiarity with help desk software and ticketing systems

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Professional and pleasant telephone manner

Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical personnel

Education and Experience:

Working towards or completed Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent work experience

Previous work experience in IT preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Vision must be correctable to allow reading/viewing of documents and computer screen

Hearing must be correctable to allow extensive use of telephone and voicemail as well as participate in discussions among large groups
