SUMMARY:

VadaTech is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of embedded computing solutions. Due to continued growth, we are seeking candidates for the position of Embedded Software Engineer Level II. The Embedded Software Engineer Level II is responsible for supporting embedded board bring up, design, coding, and testing embedded systems related functionality for Vadatech electronic products. Requirements:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works closely with multi-functional teams to produce software solutions to include overall product requirements and design.

Responsible for software development activities involving board bring up and meeting product requirements.

Provide support for hardware engineers on trouble shooting NPI board issues.

Responsible for the support, maintenance and documentation of product software functionality.

Produce and review functional specifications and design documents.

Support and maintain developed code and enhancements.

Responsible for working with the customer support team to troubleshoot and resolve product reported issues.

Responsible for contributing to the development of internal tools to streamline development activities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s or master's degree in electrical or computer science engineering.

3-7 years of work experience in embedded systems.

Proficiency in C, embedded OS, embedded platforms.

Experience with software development for hardware peripherals such as I2C, SPI, PCIe, UART, Ethernet, etc.

Experience with reading and understanding board level schematics

Experience with new/untested hardware board bring-up required

Demonstrated ability use lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and JTAG probes to resolve problems required.

Competency with creating engineering and user documentation expected.

ENVIRONMENT:

Indoors/engineering Labs/Manufacturing Floor

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear and foot protection.

Ability to handle and lift objects weighing at least 25 lbs.
