Manager II GBD Special Programs - LTSS

Location: Ohio. This position is hybrid and will require the associate to report to 1 of 4 Elevance office locations at least 1-2 times per week. The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations within the state of Ohio.

MyCare Ohio Plan program is to deliver high quality, trauma informed, culturally competent, person centered coordination for all members that addresses physical health, behavioral health, long term services and supports, and psychosocial needs.

The Manager II GBD Special Programs - LTSS is responsible for supporting direct team oversight and program strategy and implementation of OH My Care comprehensive health care program in which Ohio dually eligible members including individuals receiving long-term services and supports (LTSS) needs are assessed for physical health, behavioral health, and social driver of health needs for older adults, LTSS populations, and Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) coordination.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Supports director with operational process and strategy to ensure the Anthem best practice model is embedded in all facets of program operations.

Collaborates with management team to drive strategy for alignment across coordination teams.

Develops approaches for practical application of Independence First principles through appropriate service allocation determinations and supports direct reports with adherence.

Ensures adequate coverage of all tasks and job responsibilities for assigned region.

Partners with management team for state wide case assignment and caseload oversight processes.

Coordinates service delivery of assigned team to include member assessments, care planning, and ongoing contacts.

Lead assigned subject matter area strategy to create documented processes and workflows.

Foster and maintain relationships across the Coordination Team, Health Plan, and Center of Excellence to drive and inform program strategy.

Evaluates current processes of Special Program's support functions; recommends enhancements for increased efficiencies and improved outcomes across program operations to include member and provider engagement.

Works with the management team to evaluate training needs for Specialty Program teams and collaborate with training team for content creation and coordination of training delivery.

Effectively communicates program risks, status of team performance, and support needs to leadership.

Utilizes performance data to support team with consistent compliance with key program metrics.

Utilizes population data to identify emerging risk and creates mitigation strategies.

Directs and oversees program operations in support of corporate and health plan management.

Mentors Manager I team to execute on program strategies.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 6 years’ experience, including prior management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

Service delivery coordination, discharge planning, or behavioral health experience in a managed care setting preferred.

RN, LISW, license in the State of Ohio is strongly preferred.

Experience with Medicaid programs supporting LTSS waiver populations such as older adults and/or individuals with disabilities is preferred.

Experience delivering home- and community-based services in Ohio is preferred.

Experience managing field-based associates is preferred.
