We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst to join our HOLE team. The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for collecting and analyzing information to formulate the scope and objectives of technology solutions to meets the business needs. The right candidate will have a proven SDLC background, excellent analytical and written documentation skills, as well as great teamwork. Communication and collaboration skills are critical for our project teams to deliver quality IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
Work with business and technical resources to clarify requirements and propose solutions
Document and maintain requirements and specifications throughout the software development cycle
Create visual models, prototypes, or flow diagrams as indicated by project needs
Manage scope change requests and serve as SME for project scope
Adhere to documented lifecycle processes and work with management to continue to improve organizational maturity
Communicate effectively with users, team members, and training team
Create and organize “as built” system documentation for multiple integrated platforms
Participate on both Agile and Waterfall development processes.
Adhere to SDLC, software development life cycle, and work with management to continue to improve organizational maturity
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT or Business preferred.
3+ years of experience as a business or requirement analyst.
Proficient in requirements gathering methodologies and the SDLC.
Thorough knowledge of Information Technology fields and computer systems.
Experience using HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) a plus.
Applied knowledge of the application development life cycle. Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies a plus.
Strong understanding of integration points of assigned business/systems and processes.
Great communication skills with proven ability to collaborate with colleagues in a cross functional, team-oriented environment.
Exceptional organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills and detail orientation.
High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy
Ability to communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for all levels and audiences.
Ability to plan tasks and track progress against an integrated team project plan.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent work-streams.
Sound business judgment and the ability to escalate critical matters to management promptly.
Ability to identify potential risks, impacts and software dependencies.
