Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Business Development Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with clients, and driving sales within the underground utility industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales, a strong understanding of underground utility services, and the ability to work independently to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities within the underground utility sector.

Build and maintain relationships with contractors, municipalities, and utility companies.

Conduct sales presentations and site visits to assess client needs and provide solutions.

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers.

Work closely with internal teams, including operations and project management, to ensure seamless service delivery.

Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and competitors to identify growth opportunities.

Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work.

Conduct site visits and inspections to gather necessary data for estimating.

Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and forecasts in CRM software.

Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 3+ years of outside sales or business development experience, preferably in underground utilities, construction, or related industries.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with underground utility services, such as hydro excavation, directional drilling, utility locating, and pipeline maintenance.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate deals.

Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline effectively.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Travel: Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
